Why Did I Receive This Bill From a Provider?
Sometimes a bill looks higher than expected because the insurance discount wasn’t applied yet.
Steps to take:
- Look closely at the bill to see if an insurance discount/adjustment is shown.
- If no discount is listed, call the provider’s billing office and confirm they have your current Self Fund Health insurance information from your ID card.
- Once corrected, the bill should reflect the discount.
If it still doesn’t look right:
- Compare the bill with your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in the member portal.
- If the provider’s bill and your EOB don’t match, contact the Plan Concierge at 608-506-1336 or questions@selffundhealth.com.
