What to Do If You Get a Bill You Don’t Understand?

Sometimes you may receive a bill from a doctor, hospital, or pharmacy that’s confusing or looks incorrect. Don’t worry—your plan includes support to sort it out.

Steps to take:

  1. Compare the bill with your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in the member portal. This shows what the plan paid and what (if anything) you owe.
  2. If the bill doesn’t match your EOB or you’re unsure, contact the Plan Concierge at 608-506-1336 or questions@selffundhealth.com.
  3. The Plan Concierge team will work directly with the provider to clarify or correct the billing.

Tip: Always present your new Self Fund Health ID card at visits to prevent billing issues.
